Experience
I graduated summa cum laude 2014 from the University of Georgia with a degree in English and Linguistics, with an emphasis in Creative Writing and Second Language Acquisition. My honors thesis was published through the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities in Spring 2014. I have over five years of teaching and tutoring experience, as well as formal training in Second Language Acquisition, Theoretical Linguistics, and English Literature and Composition. Last year, I worked as an English Language instructor under the U.S. Fulbright grant at Gaziosmanpasa University in Tokat, Turkey, and I'm happy to now be working as a freelace tutor around the Atlanta area, as well as a dance instructor. I'm comfortable working with children and and adults of all ages and personalities. Students have found my tutoring style to be a really nice mix of the personal and professional - and I do believe that a student has to trust me before they can make progress. I'm a very flexible, efficient, and perceptive tutor, and I really enjoy getting to know my students and seeing their progress!
