It is quite fulfilling as well as exciting to see a student master the Spanish language to the point that it is no longer confusing or frustrating. I have seen incredible improvement in students' grammar and mechanics, as well as their ability to write and speak Spanish. I particularly enjoyed tutoring student-athletes through the UGA Athletic Association. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Georgia. I am also quite passionate about SAT test prep, especially the critical reading and writing sections. Essay editing is also an interest. During my academic career, I've edited many essays. I am adept at looking at someone's writing and showing them how to correct grammatical errors and rephrase to produce truly effective communication. When tutoring test prep, I seek to help students with their anxiety, and focus on strategies for familiarizing students with the material they will likely see in the critical reading and writing sections. I work hard to help students build self-confidence and understanding of the material. I also plan my sessions with each student's learning style in mind. My hobbies include spending time with friends and family, reading, listening to audiobooks, exercising, singing, and attending Bible studies. I look forward to working with you!
