I strongly believe that teaching should be adapted to suit a student's learning style, which is why I strive to know my students on a personal level. School can be difficult for those who don't enjoy the learning experience. I work hard to make my lessons understandable and interesting so my students enjoy the process.I have experience as a GED preparation, TOEFL, AP U.S. History, AP World History, and AP Psychology teacher. I have also worked as the head English instructor at a learning center. In this role, I focused on preparation for SAT and ACT Verbal and Writing. I also helped with college application essays, language arts homework, general essay writing, and editing. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia. Currently, I live in Athens, GA and tutor the subjects of English, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, preparation for the SAT, ACT, PSAT, GED, and TOEFL, AP United States History, AP U.S. Government and Politics, Psychology, and Social Studies.In my free time, I write for two blogs, and enjoy reading, writing, art, and learning how to play the guitar.
