Hi, I'm Justin. I have a wide variety of experience both working and being a student in academic settings. I have taught grade school and junior high students and served as a TA in college History. I indexed multimedia items for the University of Georgia's Peabody Awards Collection and the Archive of Contemporary Music. I also organized archival collections for the Institute of Jazz Studies and in the Richard Russell Library. Most of my work background came from the Georgia Center for Assessment, where I read and scored Georgia writing exams given to fifth, eighth, and eleventh grade students. Now these tests are on the way out, and we are working on making and rating practice exams that will be given to students to prepare for Milestones Exams.I have lived in Athens most of my life, but I have also lived in Atlanta, Madison, and New York. I have done a lot of traveling within the U.S. and have traveled to several European countries. During my time at Emory University and the University of Madison, I studied U.S. History. At Rutgers University, I studied Library Science. Currently, I am reading literary classics and studying literary history. The knowledge I have gained from working, being a student, and traveling will greatly benefit my students. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy music, reading, going to the gym, hiking, and traveling.
