Experience
My fields of study and tutoring cover a wide variety of subjects, including Genetics, Spanish, and Anthropology. With over five years of experience, I have been a tutor for students in the elementary setting all the way to the college level. My passion for tutoring and teaching has led me to many opportunities including: teaching English to South American students, tutoring athletes at the college level, private tutoring of all ages, and spending time as a teacher's assistant. I received my Bachelor of Science in Genetics with a minor in both Spanish and Anthropology from the University of Georgia. I intend to pursue a medical doctorate with a specialty in rheumatology.Watching students becoming confident and learn the material drives my passion for tutoring, as well as having the chance to be a role model and positive influence in students' lives. I cater my teaching style to each individual student's needs, ensuring they have the best chance at successfully learning the material and are able to apply that knowledge in their academic pursuits. A large part of my tutoring method involves asking open-ended questions and really listening to each student's needs and questions, and I believe that is a large part of my success in the teaching process. When I have free time, I enjoy spending it with my friends and family, studying ancient history, cooking, reading, writing, fishing, and volunteering.
