Experience
I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2010, with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious studies, in addition to a Master of Arts in History in 2013. While I am well versed in a number of topics within social science and history, I am especially interested in the history, along with the development of religions, within Latin America.In addition to completing university level historical surveys required by the Georgia Board of Regents, I have taken a number of international baccalaureate and advanced courses related to social studies and history. I have experience teaching English as a second language to students, in addition to working as a teacher's assistant, where I helped students understand material, prepared a number of assignments, and marked papers.My goal as a tutor is to help students develop a deeper understanding of the material, while improving their ability to think critically. I aim to equip my students with the tools needed to succeed in the classroom, as well as the professional world. I tutor a number of subjects, such as English as a second language, reading, writing, history, government, religious studies, sociology, and social sciences. I am also able to help students prepare for a number of portions of the SAT and GRE.In my spare time I love reading, writing, and watching films. I currently live in Athens, Georgia.
