Experience
Teaching and tutoring are two big aspects in my life. Recently, I have made a change in career in order to spend more time working with students while also raising a family. I am excited to impart my own knowledge onto others. I am organized, thorough, and can convey my thoughts well through both spoken and written formats. When taking the SAT in the past, I achieved a perfect score in both the verbal and literature portions. With a combination of my skills and knowledge, I have helped students achieve their personal best on test scores and generally perform better. I am available to tutor in ACT prep, SAT prep, literature, and college essays, though my specialties lie in English, writing, and reading.Before making my career change, I was working as an attorney. While in this position, I had the opportunity to train legal associates, interns, and law students. Prior to this, I was a teacher at a technical college. I am a graduate of the University of Georgia, where I studied journalism. The Georgia Press Association has acknowledged several pieces of my writing and presented me with awards. When I am not in the classroom or spending time with my family, I enjoy reading and traveling.
