My name is Judy, a recent graduate from UGA. I hold a dual degree in Biology and Psychology and graduated with a GPA of 3.79. In college, I worked for the Division of Academic Enhancement of UGA - I tutored UGA students in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. I studied abroad in Oxford University during Fall of 2019, took Cell Biology and Abnormal Psychology with Oxford professors. I plan to take a gap year before medical school and am currently in the process of looking for an interested psychology lab to join.
Experience
Worked as an academic tutor in college for 2 years before my study abroad trip in 2019 - Upward Bound and a science tutor for undergraduate students at UGA. I worked for Upward Bound, a tutoring service for high school kids. In the program, I instructed and mentored 10 first-generation high school students in Chemistry and Physics for 3 hours a week. In addition, I designed weekly leadership activities to build confidence, enhanced critical thinking skills and developed competencies in students After Upward Bound, I continued my tutoring interests by joining the UGA Division of Academic Enhancement. In DAE, I served as a Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry tutor for 1 year.
