Experience

I graduated summa cum laude 2014 from the University of Georgia with a degree in English and Linguistics, with an emphasis in Creative Writing and Second Language Acquisition. My honors thesis was published through the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities in Spring 2014. I have over five years of teaching and tutoring experience, as well as formal training in Second Language Acquisition, Theoretical Linguistics, and English Literature and Composition. Last year, I worked as an English Language instructor under the U.S. Fulbright grant at Gaziosmanpasa University in Tokat, Turkey, and I'm happy to now be working as a freelace tutor around the Atlanta area, as well as a dance instructor. I'm comfortable working with children and and adults of all ages and personalities. Students have found my tutoring style to be a really nice mix of the personal and professional - and I do believe that a student has to trust me before they can make progress. Hobbies

I'm a classically trained dancer, and have taught ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and the occasional ballroom class. I have been teaching dance for nearly seven years. I've moved around a lot - I've lived in Georgia, Wyoming, Turkey, and France. I'm familiar with (but not fluent in) five foreign languages (Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Turkish) - and I love meeting people from all different backgrounds and cultures.
