Experience

I'm presently enrolled in an English and creative writing doctoral program at the University of Georgia. I hold two bachelor's degrees from the University of California (UCLA). I hold a degree in literary and performative writing and another degree  in world arts and cultures. I hold an MFA degree in creative writing from the University of Montana. For the past six years, I've taught diverse literature and writing courses at the college level. I'm a Fulbright alumnus who has also been employed as a private tutor and university counselor. Hence, I have lots of experience working with people of varying ages and backgrounds. The majority of my employment has centered around language so I am highly skilled in the area of writing. I can assist with anything from a dissertation to a statement of purpose. When I tutor, I strive to created a stress-free setting of mutual respect. My pedagogical philosophy empowers students to discover answers with my guidance. My main focus is on clearly asking a question while providing necessary information and the keys to the solution. Those three steps are vital to student progress. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time at the gym or go biking in the mountains. I also enjoy rooting for the Bruins!
